Located in the trendy Friedrichshain neighborhood on the east side of the Spree River, these vacation home rentals in Berlin are tucked away within the Michelberger Hotel, one of the neighborhood’s favorite destinations to stay and play in this up-and-coming area.

Reinterpreted in a spare, modern style, each suite is uniquely designed, with fold out king size sleeping quarters, an additional mezzanine sleeping area, and a living room with a fully equipped kitchen. There is one bath and a private sauna in each.

The hotel’s cafe and restaurant feature organic seasonal products from the owner’s farm in Brandenburg and they’ve created and developed three signature drinks: a bracing herbal schnapps, their favorite coconut water, and excellent craft beer.

During the warmer months the courtyard, lounge, cafe and bar host music and events while in  winter, the fire pits are lit in the courtyard for a cozy escape from the cold.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Fully staffed with restaurant, cafe and bar, and room service limited to certain rooms. Rooms include minibar and kitchens, projector or big screen TV, bath amenities included.

Wifi throughout, small fitness room and yoga studio available for guests in the hotel.

AROUND

Located in East Berlin’s Friedrichshain neighborhood on the banks of the  Spree River, the former industrial zone is quickly becoming a trendy-alt hotspot, with infamous nightlife and techno clubs (including the world-famous Berghain), many emerging restaurants, bars and a pedestrian friendly zone of boutiques and galleries near the leafy Boxhagener Platz.

Just over the historic Oberbaumbrücke, the longest standing stretch of the Berlin Wall – the East Side Gallery and Watergate are within a short walk. The  Warschauer Str. U Bahn across the street gives you excellent access to the rest of the city.

Linked to the Kreuzberg district by the castle-like Oberbaum Bridge over the river, the Kreuzberg district is well known as the artistic heart and soul of the city and as the birthplace of ’alternativ kultur’ during the cold war. Today it’s considered a district of great diversity and a destination that values creativity, authenticity and open-minded modern life with a lively social, cultural scene. The famous street art and graffiti is as much a part of the neighborhood as the iconic food carts and stands and sidewalk cafes, where the daytime street culture gives way to a popular nightlife and music scene.

The famous Turkish market along the canal is must see and the neighborhood is ideally laid out for walking and easily connecting with the rest of the city.

Following long periods of turmoil and reunification, Berlin has emerged as a vibrant and modern city that is revitalized in spirit. The glamor is back, along with an edgy cultural renaissance that makes Berlin the capital of cool.
