The apartment is also a short walk from the Colosseum, the Parco del Colle Oppio and Villa Borghese.
Also highly recommended are visits to Villa Doria Pamphili, another 17th-century villa with the largest landscaped public park in Rome, and the church of Santi Quattro Coronati, celebrated for its 13th-century frescoes.
In-the-know locals would also tell you to check out Palazzo Spada, where you’ll find a unique optical illusion in its arcaded courtyard.
