If you’re looking for a lively escape, this newly-created Mexico luxury vacation home rental property has four lofts centered around an Italian restaurant which stays open well into the night. Each loft sleeps up to four, and has a quirky creative feel. (Note the traffic cone lanterns hanging from the trees.) We love the industrial, modern design that incorporates wooden beams, concrete flooring and cinder block walls. The most striking design elements are the criss-crossing wooden lines that cover the windows, the mezzanine floors, and the palapa ceilings – all of which pay homage to the Riviera location while also retaining a contemporary feel. Furnishings are bright, and decor is quirky – from lines of flip flops parading up the walls to Day of the Dead grocery bags hanging on hooks. There’s also lots of colorful string – which is either woven into the furniture and railings, or made into panels that are curiously reminiscent of Seventies string art. Each loft has one bedroom, with an additional bed – and can comfortably accommodate four guests. If you’re a big group, the entire complex sleeps 16. ADDITIONAL FEATURES Smoking is permitted. AROUND Up until recently, Sayulita was a sleepy fishing village, but in the last few decades it has developed a hipster surf scene – due to its great waves and sandy beaches. It’s a good place to learn to surf, and the town is also known for great restaurants and chilled vibe. There are opportunities for hiking through virgin jungle trails, kayaking, scuba diving, snorkelling, sport fishing, and whale watching.
