Set within the rolling countryside of the midi-Pyrenees, this elegant 16th century luxury french villa chateau was rescued from ruin through an extensive restoration that has preserved the beauty of the historic features while pairing them with a chic, modern update.

The property has belonged to the same family for over a hundred years and was the lifelong dream project of owners Anne and Hugues to restore and re-imagine what it could be. Following extended periods of travel in Africa, Tahiti and French Guyana, the Spain based couple worked for five years to rescue the neglected structure and worked alongside the best local craftsmen and artisans of Les Compagnons du Tour de France. Experts at historic restoration and conservation, a combination of traditional and modern materials and construction techniques were used.

The large ground floor houses the fireside salon/living area with a newly installed oversized windows and a wall of glass that brighten the interiors and is adjacent to a large formal dining area that seats twelve. The kitchen wing features a fireside lounge and breakfast area and state of the art appliances perfect for entertaining.

There are four en suite double bedrooms and two dormitory style bedrooms upstairs that are perfect for kids, making this a great family retreat.

Surrounded by acres of private, pastoral land, the area is a peaceful and idyllic holiday destination.
