Designed by Portland based Boora Architects, this modern home sits in splendid seclusion along Oregon’s rugged central coast with panoramic views that stretch for miles. Placed above a coastal inlet of protected wetlands with vast expanses of pristine shoreline, the house was designed to complement the landscape. Constructed of clean sculptural lines and an abundance of natural wood, concrete and glass, the house features meticulously crafted details and finishes.

The open plan great room soars to double heights with floor to ceiling windows and a large retractable door that opens out to the deck overlooking the marshlands and the sea providing a continuous flow between the fireside living spaces and the eat-in chefs kitchen and dining area. Dominated by the glass walls that focus outward, the main floor ascends to an open mezzanine office space above the two double bedrooms below. The en-suite master features it’s own cozy wood stove and a luxurious Japanese soaking tub and both have private ocean views and an abundance of natural light.

The deck is perfect for entertaining and dining al fresco with a fireplace and comfy spots to lounge overlooking the shore with paths from the house leading down to the beach.
