This vacation home rental in Canada was conceived with Scandinavian design in mind – clean lines, pale colors and natural textures like wood and concrete. Simplicity and raw materials were key, and we think the results are really cool.
The house has concrete floors and high ceilings, and is predominantly white with bold black-and-white highlights. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with a sofabed and extra beds available. The fireplace and hot tub are great for after a day on the slopes.
The property is located in Petite-Rivière-Saint-François but is only a few minutes from Le Massif de Charlevoix, a huge crater created by a meteorite that is now known for its great winter sports.

AROUND
Le Massif de Charlevoix is a ski area northeast of Québec City and overlooking the St. Lawrence River. It’s great for skiing, snowboarding and sledding, and ski season lasts from early December to late April.
Another reason to visit the region is the Flavor Trail, a drive along the St Lawrence, stopping at up to 40 farms, mills and breweries that open their doors for tastings and tours – best done in summer and fall.
Spring is a good time for whale-watching, as minke, beluga, and humpback whales migrate from the Gulf of St. Lawrence. In summer, the national park, Les Grands-Jardins and Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie, are great for hiking, biking, camping and kayaking.
