Designed by Lucerne based architect Bruno Hermann of Architekten Gemeinschaft, this small luxury hotel is located in the charming Swiss mountain village of Mathon set against the spectacular Alpine backdrop of Piz Beverin National Park.
Positioned to capture the views of the landscape from every room, the striking monolithic silhouette recalls the traditional chalets of the region but with an altogether modern interpretation on mountain living.
The impressive facade is punctuated by oversized and recessed asymmetrical windows that reflect the rugged scenery and suffuse the interiors with natural light. Constructed of natural materials such as stone, wood and clay, the hotel was planned, designed and furnished with a passion and enthusiasm for rustic modern design.
There are six double guest suites with one that can accommodate up three in a separate loft. Spare and minimalist, each room is designed with warm larch wood and natural stone with views overlooking the alps.
The in house restaurant is exclusively for guests and serves delicious, locally sourced and organic cuisine at breakfast with full course meals at dinner on request.

Set within the majestic Beverin National Park, Mathon is a quiet and quaint Swiss village in the southeastern part of the country. An ideal starting point for endless hiking trails, excellent skiing and winter sports on the local pistes in nearby Splügen, it’s also perfect for exploring the wild and raw beauty of the greater Graubunden region. Ninety minutes from both Davos to the north and the glamorous St. Moritz to the east, the rugged granduer and remote stretches of wilderness make this an exhilirating and thankfully less travelled area of the Alps. Closer to the hotel you can partake in the thermal baths in nearby Andeer and tour the breathtaking Viamala gorge.
