We don’t often feature rooms, but this guest bedroom caught our attention. Located on the second floor of an architectural home in Notting Hill, it’s simple but stylish. If you’re visiting London and want to stay centrally in a really cool neighborhood – but can’t afford typical London prices, this is the ideal place to stay.
This large all-white guest room has an east-facing window which floods the room with light in the mornings. It has a cosy double bed, a desk and Eames chair, a TV and collection of DVDs, as well as a built-in fridge with complimentary drinks. There’s also a bathroom with a large freestanding tub that easily fits two.
It’s the perfect vacation rental in London for a couple or solo traveler. The Tube station is just five minutes away.

Towels, bed sheets, bathrobes, hairdryer and essential bathroom stuff are provided. Steam iron and ironing board are available on request. The entire house has underfloor heating.
AROUND
The house is located in the middle of Notting Hill, on Portobello Road, within easy distance of lots of great shops, restaurants and bars. The world-famous market offers up everything from fruits and veg to designer clothes and antiques. The best days for bargain hunting through the maze of stalls are Fridays and Saturdays. The neighborhood has a variety of great eateries, from Italian to Portuguese and Moroccan, with a new Jamie Oliver restaurant Recipease in Notting Hill Gate and the Michelin-starred Ledbury nearby.
If you’d like to explore the city by bike, the owners recommend London Bike, a bike service with docking stations around the city and the nearest one just 7 minutes from the house. Hyde Park is only a 10-minute run or 20-minute stroll from the house. It’s a great park to walk, run or cross through on your way into central London – which is within easy distance on foot (if you enjoy walking) or by public transport.
