Located in the hip Kreuzberg neighborhood, this vacation home rental in Berlin was inspired by New York City’s lofts and has all of the atmospheric urban edge along with state of the art luxury and design. The former factory space was gutted and redesigned by Kreuzberg based architect and designer Thomas Hillig.

Thoroughly transformed from its industrial origins into a stylish loft space, the apartment was designed as both a holiday getaway and a creative retreat. Awash in white and natural light, the spaces are airy and fresh with soaring ceilings and warm wood floors that form the backdrop for a very modern renovation.

Using a mix of luxurious and industrial materials, the factory has been thoroughly transformed, with over two thousand square feet of living space. The living and dining area and state of the art kitchen form the centerpiece, and are ideally designed for entertaining and special events. With walls of windows and a bright open plan layout, the main room is punctuated by a floor to ceiling brushed stainless fireplace that warms the otherwise spare design. Softened by the calm, neutral colors and comfortable multi-purpose live/work spaces, the interiors are inviting and energizing, with an extraordinary attention to detail.

The three en suite bedrooms are spread out and separated between the east and west wings, affording individual peace and privacy.

An immaculately conceived space of comfort and stylish design, this loft offers the ultimate urban experience in one of Berlin’s most exciting neighborhoods.

AROUND

Centrally located in the center of Berlin, the Kreuzberg district is well known as the artistic heart and soul of the city and as the birthplace of ’alternativ kultur’ during the cold war. Today it’s considered a district of great diversity and a destination that values creativity, authenticity and open-minded modern life with a lively social, cultural scene. The famous street art and graffiti is as much a part of the neighborhood as the iconic food carts and stands and sidewalk cafes, where the daytime street culture gives way to a popular nightlife and music scene. The famous Turkish market along the canal is must see and the neighborhood is ideally laid out for walking and easily connecting with the rest of the city. Following long periods of turmoil and reunification, Berlin has emerged as a vibrant and modern city that is revitalized in spirit. The glamour is back, along with an edgy cultural renaissance that makes Berlin the capitol of cool.
