Nestled into over ten acres of park-like grounds, this vacation home for rent in New York is immersed in a forest of oak, maple and dogwood trees in a scenic and peaceful setting just outside of Rhinebeck.

The horizontal ranch house style is reminiscent of mid-century homes, with the black cedar clad exteriors gently receding into the landscape.

Although the setting is rustic, the interiors are cool and contemporary, with expansive and airy loft like spaces of clean lines, white walls and polished concrete floors with an inviting sense of warmth. The entrance leads directly into the great room with high ceilings and a twenty six foot wall of windows overlooking the mossy forests.

The open plan allows for plenty of room to entertain with a state of the art European kitchen and an eat-in dining area. The Danish wood stove keeps things cozy and intimate for evenings chilling out in front of the fire.

The two double bedrooms sleep up to four and there’s a shared bath with an extra deep tub.

The property slopes down to a large meadow with loungers that face the sunset for peaceful and private afternoons to enjoy nature together.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Wifi throughout, satellite cable TV and DVD player, stereo and iPod docking  audio system. Housekeeper optional, laundry facilities.

AROUND

Nestled in the heart of the Hudson River Valley two hours north of New York City, Rhinebeck is a historic village with a quaint small town vibe and charming tree lined streets dotted with unique shops and restaurants. With some areas dating back three hundred years, the valley features many historical sites, old towns and villages and stately mansions to tour. Home to the Culinary Institute and a thriving locavore movement, the entire region is considered one of the country’s best gourmet towns where you can browse the very best of the area at the local farmer’s markets and pick-your-own farms. The nearby Hudson snakes through town and there are numerous scenic parks, lakes and countryside hiking trails to explore. Just across the river from Woodstock and Kingston, the town has pretty views of the Catskills and sits halfway between Hudson and Poughkeepsie.
