Quintessentially Roman, this vacation home for rent in Rome is housed atop a stunningly preserved 16th century palace. Once the home of the noble  Costaguiti family, it’s located right in the middle of the historical center directly in front of the famous Fontana delle Tartarughe.

Featured in several famous films, the building is a stunningly evocative and romantic structure where you’ll be tucked away in serene privacy while immersed in history.

Completely restored and updated with five star comforts, the property preserves the ornate details and structural features of the building and even some of the original furnishings crafted for the noble family.

The large airy spaces are luxuriously appointed with warm touches that allow you to feel at home and add to the airy and intercommunicating spaces. There are three double, en suite bedrooms that can accommodate up to six guests.

A winding wrought iron staircase from the living room leads to a delightful secret terrace – ideal for a Roman aperitif or romantic dinner, with unobstructed views of the magical city.

AROUND

Located within the Piazza Mattei, just steps from Trastevere, the Tiber River, Piazza Venezia and Campo di Fiori, you’ll have a view on the historic Fontana delle Tartarughe, a monument in itself. Sant’ Angelo is the smallest rioni, or district, in the city. It is historically known as the city’s Jewish ghetto, and is home to the Synagogue of Rome. The Circus Flaminius of ancient Rome stretched into this little district, and when it crumbled, new houses were built using its ruins. Traces of the circus can still be found in the walls of its oldest houses.  Foodies will rejoice in knowing that the bustling produce market of Campo de’ Fiori is less than 10 minutes away by foot. The Castel Sant’ Angelo with its elaborate rooms and panoramic views of the Eternal City is a leisurely 20 minute stroll across the Tiber as well as everything from the Pantheon to the Colisseum within walking distance.
