Based at the foot of an impressive 13th century castle, the farm evolved over the years from a simple rural home settled by a local family. Dubbed the Garden of Eden by locals, the extensive orchards and flowers cultivated by the original owners transformed the area over time into the enchanting oasis you’ll find today.
Awarded the Green Pencil Award from the Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning, the property was developed as a sustainable luxury concept with each of the six apartments designed with local clay plaster and stone, responsibly sourced solid wood and a diffusion open-walled construction allowing the buildings to breathe. The interiors are stylish and modern with all natural elements and design accents and come equipped with kitchens, baths and a private terrace. Each of the rooms are inspired by local flora and nature themes with all furnishings, materials and decorative accessories created by local Slovenian artists and designers.

The south eastern region of Slovenia is located just a few miles from the border of Croatia and is traversed by the River Sotla which flows through a valley beneath the Kozjansko hills. The town of Podčetrtek sits perched on a hill above and is dominated by the historic 13th century castle that overlooks the valley. The area is home to vast areas of unspoiled nature with extensive recreational areas and a network of mountain and forest roads and trails including the Slomšek Trail and the E7 European Path and is ideal for hiking cycling and horseback riding.
