This vacation home rental in Amsterdam is located on a quiet, leafy street in the northern region of the city, just a twenty minute bike ride from the center of town.

A traditional early 20th century family home from the outside, inside renovations have expanded and considerably lightened the interiors with giant expanses of glass and bright washes.

Sleek black lacquer, silver slate, warm wood floors and polished concrete create unifying palette that that’s chic and modern with custom furnishings designed by the owner.

There’s a ground floor lounge and media room and an extra large kitchen that opens out to the gardens and outdoor dining areas. Upstairs is the cool, minimalist en suite master bedroom, a second double bedroom and a charming children’s room with in-wall sleeping nooks.

A surprising and stylish family home, this is a unique option in a peaceful setting just outside of town.
