Located in the heart of Berlin’s Mitte district, this apartment has been featured in numerous architectural and design magazines – and it’s not hard to see why.
Created as an homage to the diversity and creativity of Berlin, designers and partners Annabell Kutucu and Michael Schickinger have collaborated on several other residential projects around the world, each a reflection of their complementary creative skills and eye for design. Located on the second floor with views of the neighborhood, the loft like interiors are spacious and bright with high ceilings, banks of windows that flood the apartment with natural light and clean, understated lines. The deep, saturated charcoal and black hues are bold and monochromatic but tempered with warm hardwood flooring and rustic wood accents that amp up the drama and sophistication.

The living area is intimate and chic with laid back minimalist style that flows into the  sleek eat in kitchen and dining area. The three double bedrooms are set at the back and can accommodate up to six guests. Each are punctuated with dramatic graphics and rustic accents with a select collection of vintage pieces and furnishings, while the main living area features a hand crafted homage to David Bowie’s “Heroes,” with lyrics scrawled onto the ceiling.

A truly unique expression of modern urban living, this apartment’s crafty individuality and energetic style is one of a kind.

AROUND
The former working class neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg in central Berlin is one of the best neighborhoods from which to explore the city. With many sidewalk cafes, galleries, shops and Berlin’s oldest beer garden, it’s ideal for walking and people watching with an energetic and arsty vibe. Following long periods of turmoil and reunification, Berlin has emerged as a vibrant and modern city that is revitalized in spirit and is an avant garde, foreward thinking destination with a bustling art and music scene along with a fast emerging culinary culture.
The glamour is back, along with an edgy cultural renaissance that makes Berlin the capitol of cool. The nearby historic district of Mitte is also one of the best spots from which to discover both old and new Berlin.
