Located above the sea a short walk from the famous Socorro beach, this vacation home rental in Tenerife was built during a boom in the island’s plantation expansion and is one of six distinctive haciendas on a large estate.
Dating back to the 17th century, the hacienda is constructed of thick, whitewashed plaster, stone and timbered beams that have withstood centuries of weathering.
The main living space is airy but intimate, with high pitched ceilings and the elegant carved wood features intact. There’s a fully equipped eat-in kitchen and two spacious and bright double bedrooms with views of the sea.
The owners are enthusiastic world travelers, and have populated the house with authentic antiques sourced from the island and pieces from Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
Outside the veranda is the place to dine while overlooking the ocean and tropical gardens with a spectacular infinity pool with views over the northern coast and the island of La Palma.
The gardens have more than one hundred palm trees, a diversity of ornamental trees and a wide selection of helicons and several community seating areas that provide as much privacy as possible for guests.
