After a busy, fast paced professional life and years of travel, the owners of this small luxury hotel in Italy switched gears, coming back to southern Italy to begin anew. Their road led to the famed Itria Valley and its unique region dotted with Trulli, where they identified the beginnings of a dream.
Discovering a property that beckoned them back to the simple life, they set about restoring the property and it’s unique structures.
Originally constructed as temporary agricultural dwellings, the enchanting lamia are found only in the specific region of the Itria Valley and the seamless renovation allows you to understand how the first inhabitants lived.
Just like its famous neighbor, the White City of Ostuni, the inspiration for this cottage is the color white, the most welcoming of all colours. The color that speaks of Apulia and the Itria Valley villages. The colour of stone, and grandmas embroidery. The color of light. The colour of all colors. Offset by favored pieces “Frida” and “Guillermo”, the chair and bedside table from the Vlab Art Design “I mobile cuciti Amano” collection, the space is soothing and comfortable.
Lamia 84 sleeps two adults with room for two additional children.
The en suite studio space is equipped with an outdoor kitchenette (an optional private chef offers cookings classes for an authentic taste of Puglia), a private patio overlooking the gardens with a dining and sitting area, and shared access to the terrace and solarium.
Immersed into the olive groves and surrounded by countryside, it’s a peaceful authentic way of life that invites you in.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
Optional private chef available with cooking classes, aperitif services. Wifi throughout, bath amenities, kitchenette courtesy kit and frigo bar.
