Surrounded by thirty acres of lush green meadows, woodlands and orchards, this historic barn conversion is located in the tiny hamlet of Malderen, halfway between Antwerp and Brussels.
Built in the early 20th century, the charm of the historic structure has changed little from the outside, with its classic brick facade nestled into the walled gardens. Smartly integrating all of the original timber beams, the interiors have been thoroughly updated with a fresh, modern aesthetic.
Soaring two storys high, the spaces are awash in light, with a crisp white palette and polished concrete floors. Cheerful and welcoming, the ground floor includes a spacious fireside lounge and reading area with double doors that lead to the gardens. The sleek, open plan kitchen is state of the art, with an adjacent dining area that can seat four.
The second floor includes one double bedroom and an open-plan office that can double as an extra bedroom.
A mix of country vintage and modern furnishings and decor along with an impressive gallery of large scale paintings lend the spaces color and creativity.
There are acres of unspoiled landscapes with a natural swimming pond and woods where you can wander down the trails to explore.
