Set within the ancient and rugged lava flows on the southern most regions of the Big Island, this holiday home for rent in Hawaii is a smaller version of the adjacent main villa that reflects its neighbor but ensconsed in privacy.

Originally designed by Robert Trickey, who launched the career of AIA award-winning architect Craig Steely the studio is constructed with more than eighty percent of the materials sourced locally, the house frames garden and lava flow views from one large, all-in-one studio space with walls of glass.

It includes a sitting room, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a guest room for two with room for two more on the sofa bed.

The studio has a private pool providing reflection of both the architecture and the environment, an informal lanai with a BBQ, with relaxing spots settled within it’s ancient and ever-evolving landscape.
