Located in the bustling El Rastro district of central Madrid, this newly restored 18th century apartment has been modified and updated with an invigorating contemporary energy and chic Bohemian style. Known as “corrala madrilen” the building is one of many traditional townhouses in the area that feature charming historic apartments with balconies positioned around a central courtyard. Placed next to La Latina, Plaza de Cascorro and the famous calle Ribera de Curtidores, the area is also home to Madrid’s most famous and symbolic outdoor market, el Rastro.

The bright open plan interiors have been pared down to the original structural spaces with exposed wood crossbeams, high ceilings and bright airy interiors. Updated with both contemporary and rustic finishes, the apartment is warm and welcoming with a chic and understated collection of unique and colorful vintage modern furnishings. The main living area overlooks the courtyard and flows into the fully equipped eat-in kitchen that seats six. One of the two bedrooms are hidden behind paneled glass walls that can be curtained off with a second down the hall.
