BEST TIME TO VISIT: Depends on seasonal preference and the vibe you’re looking for. Water sports and sun and activities in the summer, quiet contemplation in the winter. The Pacific Northwest does get rainy and dark in the winter, but it’s usually above freezing and beach walks, hiking, and time in front of the fire or in the hot tub are all lovely year round.
