Discovered and restored by a Spanish born Netherlands based interior designer, the house is warm and inviting with classic Andalusian style. Whitewashed inside and out, the interiors are effortlessly chic and kept deliberately simple. The main living area has a cozy wood burning stove and opens out to the terraces and views overlooking the pool and is adjacent to the farm style kitchen where you can eat in or head out to the dining terrace. Using all natural materials and colors and a dominant white palette, the interiors have a sense of complete comfort and calm.
There are three double bedrooms with one designed for kids with two single beds that can accommodate up to six people and a baby. The grounds are leafy and private with extensive stone terraces that wrap around the house and encircle the pool and from where you’ll have lovely panoramic views over the valley.

AROUND
Situated a thirty minute drive inland from the Costa del Sol and Malaga, the house is just outside of the village of Villanueva de Trabuco. Located at the base of the Gorda and San Jorge mountian range, the Guadalhorce and Higueral rivers run right through the village so you can stroll along one of the many walking trails that line the river banks. With several lakes and rivers nearby, there are many beautiful places to hike and explore locally. The famed cosmopolitan port town of Malaga makes for the ideal day trip while Granada is under an hour away and Cordoba and Seville can be reached in just over an hour. The UNESCO town of Antequera is just twenty minutes from the house and is considered the “Heart of Andalusia” with its Moorish fortress and medieval and renaissance era treasures.
