Situated on a hill overlooking the picturesque Algarve valleys below, this two hundred year old farmhouse is a stunningly beautiful and intact example of the traditional “montes” that are so closely identified with the area. Just outside of the little town of São Brás de Alportel and a short drive north of Faro, the property immerses you in the authentic feel of the Algarve.
Restored and designed by Flemish couple Frank and Veronique, the concept was to create a destination of simplicity and tranquility with an appreciation of the uniquely rural life of the region to share with guests.
Each of the buildings have been stylishly restored without disturbing their original character using natural stone and wood, and an almost monastic minimalism and serenity.
Featuring a total of five en suite rooms, each has been renovated for maximum space and privacy with all the modcons cleverly integrated for comfort. Accommodating from two to four guests each, the property sleeps fourteen total and provides the intimacy of a private estate.
There are several common areas inside and out with lovely gardens and orchards, a gorgeous black mosaic swimming pool for cooling off in the summer and delightful spots to laze about in the hammocks and loungers.
This small bed and breakfast in Portugal is a peaceful place of unique historic beauty, and serenity.
