AROUND
Zermatt is a world-renowned ski resort, and its top lift is the highest in the Alps – at 3,800m. It’s a spectacularly pretty town, with views of the Matterhorn and 28 other peaks surrounding it. Year-round skiiing is possible on the glaciers and on lower slopes, thanks to snow-making machines.
However, Zermatt is more than a charming ski hub. It also offers easy winter hiking trails, great restaurants, lively apres-ski, jazz clubs and piano bars. And it’s car-free too.
The chalet is conveniently located close to the river and four minutes from the Sunnegga Express base lift station. It’s seven minutes on foot to the village center.
