Created by Hostem founder James Brown, The Myrdle Street Residence is a meticulously restored 18th century Georgian townhouse located in the vibrant east end neighbourhood of Whitechapel in London. The building which once housed a linen merchant’s store, is one of the finest historically preserved homes in its locale. With four floors and almost three thousand square feet of space, the property combines classical Georgian features with modern luxury.
The interiors are tranquil and welcoming with a palette of over fifteen saturated colours. Designed for comfort as well as a showcase, the living spaces are pared down to a minimalists aesthetic with a carefully refined selection of design-led furniture and a specially curated selection of artworks.
The first-floor master bedroom has an en-suite and a private dressing room, and a shower room caters for the two large bedrooms (each sleeps two) on the top floor. There are two additional WC. There are original working fireplaces on each of the four floors, and a glass-roofed summer house overlooks a private west-facing garden. Bay windows across the lower, first and second floors also look out onto the garden.
Found in the neighbouring district of Shoreditch, Hostem features a tightly curated collection of both men’s and women’s brands and plays host to a revolving programme of projects.
