This great little wooden cabin is located minutes away from the seaside town of Comporta in Portugal, and miles and miles of pristine beaches. It’s the ultimate in minimalism. A simple structure built on a terrace, it has a queen-sized bed tucked into a cozy bedroom, a cool little outside living space, and a bathroom.

Its design draws inspiration from the nature surrounding it and makes a great vacation home rental in Portugal for a couple. Part of a larger property that also has a house and a barn, it’s available to rent on its own or in combination with the others. The entire property includes three buildings, sleeps 10 guests in 5 bedrooms, with 7 beds in total.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

The cabin does not have a kitchen, and guests usually go out for meals. There is a fridge. There is free parking and a washing machine on the property. Children are welcome, but the property may not be suitable for children under 2 years.

AROUND

The property is close to the village of Carvalhal, and five minutes from the breezy beach town of Comporta and its gorgeous 60km long beach. A former fishing village, it has recently become very popular but still retains its laidback vibe and windswept natural beauty.

It is one hour from Lisbon, 90 minutes away from the Algarve, and within easy reach of the Tróia Peninsula (a 17km long beach). The Natural Reserve of the Sado Estuary is close by – one of the most beautiful beaches in the country and a great location for watching dolphins and storks.

Other local attractions include the Serra de Grândola mountain, which is great for hiking and biking, the Moorish town of Santiago do Cacem, with its quaint cobblestone streets and fortifications, and the ancient Roman settlement of Miróbriga.

LOCATION

Comporta, Portugal. Nearest airport: Lisbon (130km).

BEST TIME TO VISIT
