AROUND
Les Trois Vallées region of the French Alps is the largest inter-linked ski area in the world, with 600km of pistes and over 170 lifts and, with its north facing slopes, Courchevel enjoys some of the best snow in the entire region. Comprised of four distinct villages, the area is linked by its lifts, gondolas, cable cars and a single roadway. Based at the bottom of the range is Le Praz, the smallest of the four with a rustic old world vibe and few shops, while Village is a quiet more residential stop on the the way up. Further up the main road, Moriond is centered around the main lift and gondola and is a busier hub of good restaurants, bars and shops while the largest and most prestigious (and pricey) Courchevel 1850 resort perched along the sides and at the peaks, caters to the wealthiest visitors with luxury boutiques and resorts and five star dining.
