Minimal Blue, Chamolia, Greece

Set within a wooded hillside overlooking the eastern coast of Attica’s Riviera, this luxury villa in Greece is a surprising and indulgent retreat that is a feast for the senses.

Designed by Attica based architects Kostas Zouvelos and Kassiani Theodorakakos, the style and tone is a departure from the usual luxury villa and is a shift from some of the historic preservation work the duo are known for. Towering three stories high, the structure is a seemingly random composition with intersecting living spaces and a fun assortment of geometric forms punctuated by interspersed windows and shapes.

The main floor opens into an expansive great room with a fireplace at one end with fluid and bright spaces that benefit from the natural light from the floor to ceiling glazing. Overlooking a massive pool terrace, the living, dining and spacious kitchen are great for entertaining inside and out.

Stairs lead down to the ground floor library, master suite with forest views and an additional living room, while an office space is included on the semi-floor. There are two additional en suite double bedrooms and two charming children’s rooms included on the ground floor with room for up to six adults and three kids.

Employing luxury materials, finishes, and state-of-the- art features, the newly built villa mixes contemporary style and furnishings with a few classic pieces as well as whimsical and unexpected graphic accents that keep it light and fun.

The poolside gardens are expansive and private with plenty of areas to lounge and dine in style and comfort.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Housekeeping provided every three days with optional daily housekeeping available. Wifi throughout, satellite cable TVs and audio system. COCO-MAT linens and eco-friendly bath amenities, laundry facilities. Optional services include car rental and spa and beauty services.

AROUND

The seaside settlement of Chamolia along Attica’s east coast lies just a short drive from its capitol of Athens. The historic peninsula beyond the city’s center stretches as far south as Sounion and is considered modern day Greece’s cosmopolitan Riviera, with water side promenades, resorts, excellent dining and nightlife and gorgeous beaches.

You are a ten minute walk from the villa to Chamolia’s beaches and just a five minute drive to Porto Rafti with its blue flag beaches, coastal tavernas and nearby archaeological site of Vravrona and the Sactuary of Artemis.

Shrouded in ancient myth and mystery, Athens is the cradle of democracy and responsible for the birth of theater and philosophy. Situated in Parthenon’s shadow, its temples and Byzantine churches, Ottoman era mosques, bars, restaurants, cafes, monuments, and ancient archeological treasures are all within easy reach to be able to enjoy the densely vibrant city.
