Voted among the Best British Holiday Houses by Condé Nast Traveller and the UK’s 50 Best Winter Weekends by The Times, this vacation home for rent in England is one of four cottages in the grounds of a 17th century Jacobean manor house.
Set in a row in a converted cartshed, the space was reinvented by the interior designer-owner and inspired by the natural elements of Norfolk’s coastal landscape. Echoing the horizons of North Norfolk, Sky’s pale hues of blue, lavender and silver grey reflect the vast skies and coastline.
The original timbers and structural features have been restored and cleverly integrated with modern conveniences and are complemented with oak floors and natural materials that echo the wild beauty of the local environment.
The layout includes a hand-built modern kitchen in sky blue hues with dining for four and a separate sitting room with a large open fireplace and cozy log burning stove.
Upstairs are two double en suite bedrooms, one with a cast iron roll top bath, the other with larg walk-in shower, and room for up to four guests.
Decorated with a mix of vintage and contemporary furnishings and decor, the atmosphere seamlessly blends the historic rustic aspects of the home with a stylish spin.
Outside, there’s a private terrace for dining and relaxing and a shared garden space with views across the garden onto open fields. Views from the back are of the Hall.
Both rustic and chic, this is a relaxing and authentic getaway near the English seaside.
